Back up before making it worse
Where access allows, I take or verify a backup before risky repair work.
Fix the smallest thing that solves the problem
A repair should not turn into an unnecessary rebuild. If the site can be fixed cleanly, that is the job.
Recommend a rebuild only when it makes sense
Sometimes years of obsolete plugins and theme code make continued patching false economy. If that is the case I will tell you why.

What if the website has been hacked?
I can assess the installation, identify obvious compromise and help with clean-up or rebuilding. Serious security incidents may also require hosting-level support and password resets.
